Virgin America Begins Seasonal JFK-Fort Lauderdale Route
Virgin American announced the launch of new daily seasonal service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Thursday. In addition, the airline said that it will be adding a second weekly flight to its seasonal service between JFK and Palm Springs, California.
Flights to Fort Lauderdale depart at 8:00 a.m. and arrive at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 11:05 a.m. Flights from Fort Lauderdale to New York depart at 9:15 a.m. and arrive at 11:55 a.m. The airline will operate the service through April 27, 2015.
The additional JFK-Palm Springs flight will begin on February 25, 2015. Flights will depart JFK at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, and arrive at Palm Springs International Airport at 2:35 p.m. From Palm Springs, flights will depart at 3:30 p.m. and arrive at JFK at 11:35 p.m., also on Wednesdays.
The extra Palm Springs service will compliment the carrier’s current weekly flight between the two cities, which began on November 15. Both flights will operate through April 25 of next year.
