T-Mobile Introduces Rollover Data Plans

T-Mobile, which styles itself the Un-carrier, announced Data Stash, a rollover plan for unused data.

Data Stash would allow customers to roll their unused mobile Internet data into the next month.  Quoting the company’s CEO, John Legere, “What you don’t use, you won’t lose.”

The Seattle-based mobile operator is making the feature available to new and existing customers with a postpaid Simple Choice plan who purchase extra 4G LTE data.  It also announced that customers will receive ten gigabytes in their stash of data for free.

On Monday, T-Mobile USA announced a dramatic increase in network speed in the New York metropolitan area, with Wideband LTE, a service that promises to increase download speeds in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, and northern New Jersey to as much as 100 Mbps.
