Malaysia Airlines announced that it took delivery of its 100th Boeing 737 aircraft, a Next Generation 737-800, on Friday.

The plane is configured with Boeing Sky Interior, which features LED lighting, sculpted sidewalls, and larger pivoting overhead bins.

The carrier took delivery of its first 737, a 737-200, in 1972.  Since then, the airline has operated 737-200s, 300s, 400s, 500s, and 800s.  The airline’s fleet also includes 747-400s and 777-200ERs.

Boeing has delivered more than 8,000 737s to customers worldwide, over 5,100 of which have been Next Generation 737s.
