Hong Kong Airlines Begins Hong Kong-Sapporo Route

DSC_4666Hong Kong Airlines announced the launch of service between Hong Kong and Sapporo, Japan on Friday.  The carrier will operate the service five times a week.

Flights depart Hong Kong at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and at 12:00 p.m. on Fridays, and arrive in Sapporo at 2:55 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively.  From Sapporo, flights depart at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and at 6:30 p.m. on Fridays, and arrive at 9:05 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Hong Kong Airlines was founded in 2001 as CR Airways, and has a fleet of 23 Airbus aircraft.  It has its main hub at Hong Kong International Airport.

Earlier this year, Hong Kong Airlines began a codeshare with Air Seychelles, which allows the carrier to place its code on flights between Hong Kong and both Abu Dhabi and the Seychelles.
