Delta Air Lines announced enhancements to its partnership with Hertz on Tuesday.

Effective immediately, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Medallion members in the airline’s SkyMiles program are eligible to receive elite status in the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program.

Diamond and Platinum Medallions will get President’s Circle Program status, the top tier typically earned with 20 or more rentals annually or a spend of $4,000 or more.  Benefits include dedicated lines, faster service, dedicated parking stalls, and confirmed one-car class upgrades.

Gold Medallions will get Five Star Program status, which is earned with seven to 19 rentals per year or a $1,500 to $3,999 spend.  Benefits include one-car class upgrades subject to availability.

Registration on the Delta website is required and elite status at Hertz may take up to eight weeks to become active.
