Air Canada to Begin Service Between Toronto and Delhi Next Year

DSC_0001Air Canada announced it will launch new, non-stop service between Toronto and Delhi, India on November 1, 2015.  The airline will operate flights four times a week, using both Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners as well as Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. .

Flights will depart Toronto at 8:55 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive in Delhi at 9:15 p.m. the next day.  Flights from Delhi to Toronto are scheduled to depart at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and arrive at 5:00 p.m.

The carrier will operate all flights using 787-9s, with the exception of Monday flights to Delhi, and Wednesdays flights to Toronto, which it will operate using a 787-8.  The route will be the first on which Air Canada will use its 787-9 aircraft.

The airline’s 787-8s are equipped with 20 pod-like seats in business class, 21 seats in premium economy, and 210 seats in economy.  Seats in business class are fully lie-flat with a bed length of 80” and personal 18” touchscreen monitors, while seats in all classes of service offer power outlets and USB ports.

Tickets for the new service will be available for purchase beginning December 9, 2014.
