Virgin America Load Factor Up Slightly in October

Virgin America aircraft in Los Angeles

Virgin America announced operational results for October 2014.

The airline’s total traffic for the month was 810 million revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year decrease of 1.1% from 819 million RPMs in October 2013.

The carrier’s total capacity for October also decreased, down 2.7% to 988 million available seat miles, or ASMs, from 1.015 billion ASMs in the same month of last year.

Meanwhile, Virgin’s passenger load factor increased by 1.3 percentage points, up to 82% from 80.7% last October.
