Starwood announced that the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico has re-opened.  The property was closed for six weeks for repair after Hurricane Odile devastated the region in mid-September.

Two hundred of the hotel’s 270 guestrooms have been re-opened, and most of its restaurants and guest services are once again operational.  The hotel will re-open its remaining 70 rooms as well as two more of its restaurants and its gym by the end of this year.

The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort is situated on 28 acres (11 hectares) on the Sea of Cortez, and has five restaurants, six bars, four pools, a spa and fitness center.  The hotel also offers a variety of outdoor activates.

Hurricane Odile swept across Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula in September, leaving thousands of people stranded and many more without power, Internet, or phone lines.  The storm caused severe flooding, and resulted in a total of 15 deaths over nine days.
