Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of a new hotel in Nanjing, China.  The Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing is situated on Xuanwu Lake in the center of the city’s Gulou District.

The property has 424 guestrooms and 26 suites, as well as 21 serviced apartments.  Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows, 40” LED TVs, and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet.

Guests who stay in the a suite will have access to the Horizon Club Lounge, which offers daily complimentary breakfast, cocktails, and refreshments.  In addition, a Horizon Club concierge is onsite to cater to guests’ travel needs and arrangements.

The property has various meeting and event spaces, including a 22,604-square-foot (2,100-square-meter) grand ballroom, capable of accommodating up to 1,910 guests, a smaller ballroom that can fit 550 guests, and eight additional function rooms.

The hotel has four dining options, including Café Xuan, an Asian restaurant with interactive cooking stations and a buffet; Jiangnan Wok, which features seasonal menus and Huaiyang cuisine; and Jin Hot Pot and Bar, a hot pot restaurant with a beer bar and outdoor deck.  Guests can also enjoy afternoon tea and small plates at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge.

The property also has a spa, which offers nine treatment rooms, a health club, and gym.  The spa also has an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms.

The Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing is located next to the city’s underground train network, which offers easy access to other points of the city.  The hotel is also 45 minutes away from Nanjing Lukou International Airport.
