Kempinski Hotels announced the opening of a new property in Myanmar.  The Kempinski Nay Pyi Taw is the company’s first hotel in the country.

The hotel has 141 guestrooms and suites, spread out over three separate one-story villas.  One of the suites, the 15,000-square-foot (1,393-square-meter) Grand Royal Suite, has a private pool, a nanny and bodyguard room, and its own meeting and fitness facilities.

The Kempinski Nay Pyi Taw has various dining options, including the Rangoon Kitchen, an all-day restaurant serving Pan-Asian cuisine, and two lounges.  Two bars are also located on the premises, and 24-hour room service is available.

The hotel also has a fitness center, and a spa with eight different treatment suites is scheduled to open in the latter half of next year.

Kempinski also announced that it plans to open its second property in Myanmar, the Kempinski Hotel Yangon, in 2016.  The property will be located in Yangon, the capital city of Myanmar, and will have 229 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a rooftop bar, pool and spa, lobby lounge, and grand ballroom.
