American Airlines announced it will begin new daily service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Birmingham, England on May 7 of next year.  Birmingham will be the carrier’s fifth destination in the United Kingdom.

Flights are scheduled to depart from New York at 7:00 p.m. and arrive at Birmingham Airport at 7:10 a.m. the next day.  From Birmingham, flights will depart at 10:00 a.m. and arrive in New York at 12:55 p.m. the same day.

The service will operate using Boeing 757 aircraft, configured with 16 seats in business class, 52 seats in Main Cabin Extra (the carrier’s premium economy lite section) and 108 seats in economy class.  Business-class seats are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 58” to 59”.

Tickets for the new flights are available for purchase immediately.
