American Airlines to Start Miami-Frankfurt Service in May

American Airlines announced that next spring it will begin flights from from Miami, Florida to Frankfurt, Germany.

Last month, the airline’s CEO announced that the route would restart but didn’t provide further details.

On May 14, 2015, American will launch daily flights that depart from Miami International Airport at 2:45 p.m. local time and arrive at Frankfurt Airport at 6:15 a.m. The flights will depart Frankfurt at 10:30 a.m. and arrive in Miami at 2:55 p.m.

The flights will operate using Boeing 767-300 aircraft. The aircraft will be configured with 30 seats in business class and 188 seats in economy.  The business-class cabin offers angled lie-flat seats that have a width of 18.5” and a pitch of 58” to 60”.

American previously flew Miami-Frankfurt in the period 1995-1997.
