Aeromexico announced operational results for October 2014.  The airline’s total passenger traffic increased by 10.3% year-over-year, while its total capacity rose by 6% from October 2013.

The carrier’s international operations saw the greatest year-over-year improvement.  International traffic was 1.538 billion revenue passenger kilometers, or RPKs, an increase of 15.4% from 1.332 billion RPKs in the same month last year.  Domestic traffic was 892 million RPKs, an increase of 2.6% year-over-year from 870 million RPKs last year.

International capacity also rose 10.6% year-over-year, up to 1.910 billion available seat kilometers, or ASKs, from 1.728 billion ASKs in October 2013.  Meanwhile, domestic capacity fell 0.8% to 1.162 billion from 1.171 billion ASKs last year.

The airline’s international load factor was 80.6%, a year-over-year increase of 3 percentage points from 77.6% last October. The domestic load factor also increased, by 2.5 percentage points year-over-year, up to 76.9% from 74.4% last year.
