Virgin America to Begin Seasonal New York-Fort Lauderdale, Boston-Las Vegas Routes

DSC_0259Virgin America announced it will launch two new seasonal routes this winter. The routes link New York with Fort Lauderdale, and Boston with Las Vegas.

Beginning December 18, and lasting through April 28, 2015, the carrier will offer daily, non-stop service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Flights will depart from New York at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 11:05 a.m. From Fort Lauderdale, flights will depart at 9:15 a.m. and arrive in New York at 11:55 a.m.

Starting January 8 next year and continuing through April 28, Virgin America will operate four weekly flights between Boston Logan International Airport and Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport. Flights from Boston will depart at 10:30 a.m., on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and arrive in Las Vegas at 1:40 p.m. Flights from Las Vegas will depart at 2:50 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and at 3:35 p.m. on Thursdays, and arrive in Boston at 10:40 p.m. and 11:25 p.m., respectively.

In addition, the airline said Wednesday that it will increase its seasonal service between January 5 and April 28, 2015 on its New York-Las Vegas route, from seven to nine weekly flights.
