Marriott announced the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation of the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown’s meeting and event space. All 64,000 square feet (5,945 square meters) of the property’s meeting areas received upgrades during the renovation, including the 19,000-square-foot (1,765-square-meter) grand ballroom, the 10,000-square-foot (929-square-meter) Renaissance ballroom, 30 breakout rooms, and all of the hotel’s pre-function space.

The areas were outfitted with new designs featuring repeating geometric patterns and what the hotel terms a “contemporary color palette,” as well as with new lighting fixtures.

New seating areas and a library were added to the property’s pre-function space. The area was also outfitted with new communal tables, each with power outlets and USB ports.

The hotel is located directly opposite the Washington Convention Center in the Penn Quarter District.
