Etihad Airways announced it will increase its flights on its Abu Dhabi-Dallas/Fort Worth route next April. The new service, set to begin on December 3 of this year, was first announced by the airline last December.

When it first begins this year, the service will operate three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, expanding to seven times a week on April 16, 2015, with the additional flights set to operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

All flights are scheduled to depart Abu Dhabi at 10:10 a.m. and arrive in Dallas/Fort Worth at 4:50 p.m. the same day, with flights from Dallas/Fort Worth to Abu Dhabi set to depart at 6:50 p.m. and arrive at 8:00 p.m. the following day.

Etihad will operate the flights using Boeing 777-200LRs, configured with eight seats in first class, 40 seats in business class, and 177 seats in economy class.

The carrier also plans new flights to San Francisco starting November 18.

With the new Abu-Dhabi-Dallas flights, the city will become the airline’s sixth destination in the United States, joining New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
