American to Link Miami to Austin, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, San Antonio
Airline Starts New Miami-Haiti Service Today
American Airlines said it will expand its flying out of its Miami hub by adding four new destinations.
Starting March 5, 2015, the Fort Worth-based airline will offer service from Miami International Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International, Kansas City International, Salt Lake City International, and San Antonio International airports. Tickets go on sale starting October 5.
The airline is operating the flights with Boeing 737-800 aircraft equipped with 16 first-class seats, 48 seats in the Main Cabin Extra premium economy lite section, and 86 seats in coach. First-class seats are 21” wide and in a 2-2 configuration with a seat pitch of 40”. Main Cabin Extra and coach seats are 17.2” wide, with a seat pitch of 35” to 37” in the former and 31” in the latter.
The Miami-Austin flight will depart from Austin at 6:10 a.m. central time and arrive in Miami at 9:58 eastern time. The return flight leaves Miami at 7:50 p.m., arriving in Austin at 9:58 p.m. The Miami-Kansas City, Missouri flight will leave Kansas City at 6:00 a.m. central time and arrive in Miami at 10:09 a.m. eastern time. The return flight will leave Miami at 7:55 p.m., arriving at 10:05 p.m.
Flights from Miami to Salt Lake City will leave Salt Lake City at 12:59 a.m. Mountain Time and arrive at 7:50 a.m. Eastern Time. The return flight leaves Miami at 7:55 p.m., arriving at 11:11 p.m. local time. The San Antonio flights depart for Miami at 6:10 a.m. Central Time and arrive at 10:03 a.m., while the return flight leaves Miami at 7:50 p.m. and arrives at 9:58 p.m.
American also said it had added a new international destination starting Thursday, with non-stop service from Miami to Cap-Haitien, Haiti. The service is in addition to the airline’s flights to Port-au-Prince.
