American Airlines announced it will add an extra daily flight on its route between London Heathrow and Los Angeles International Airport beginning March 28 of next year.  The new flight will operate using a Boeing 777-300ER.

The flight will be in addition to American’s existing daily service between the two cities, as well as its joint business partner British Airways’ twice daily service between London Heathrow and LAX.

American’s Boeing 777-300ERs are outfitted with eight lie-flat seats in first class, 52 lie-flat seats in business, 30 seats in Main Cabin Extra, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 220 seats in economy.  Seats in first class are 30” wide and have a pitch of 64” and a bed length of 78”, while business-class seats are 26” wide, and have a pitch of 43”, with a bed length of 75” to 78”.

Tickets for the new flight will be available for purchase beginning November 2, 2014.

The flight is scheduled to depart Los Angeles at 5:55 p.m. and arrive in London at 12:25 p.m.
