American Airlines announced that it will launch new, thrice-daily non-stop service between Los Angeles International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on March 5, 2015.  The flights will operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Flights from Atlanta will depart at 7:00 a.m., 12:50 p.m., and 6:55 p.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 8:40 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 8:35 p.m., respectively.  From Los Angeles, flights are scheduled to depart at 12:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 3:20 p.m., and will arrive in Atlanta at 7:40 a.m., 5:55 p.m., and 10:45 p.m.

American’s 737-800s are outfitted with 150 seats, including 16 in first class, 48 in Main Cabin Extra (the airline’s premium economy lite section), and 86 in economy class.  Seats in first class are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 40”.

Tickets for the new flights will be available for purchase beginning October 12.

Earlier this month, American Airlines began a new Cadillac transfer car service at LAX, which offers members of its ConciergeKey program with tight transfer times a ride in a Cadillac CTS, SRX, or Escalade from one gate to another across the tarmac.
