DSC_0453JetBlue Airways announced a new, interactive route map on its website Monday.

The new system provides a variety of information about the airline’s destinations based on user input.  In addition to clearly delineating possible routes to and from a destination, prospective travelers can toggle the temperature at most JetBlue destinations as well as water temperature on both coasts on and off.

Once a destination has been selected, the user can opt to see information about what to do and see there as well as where to dine.  The system also displays photos of the area shared by other JetBlue passengers.

The New York-based airline said that the system was designed to get people to think about possible getaway destinations and present trip suggestions.

It works in virtually any desktop or mobile web browser.
