Interjet to Launch New Houston-Monterrey Route
Interjet, a low-cost Mexican carrier, announced it will begin new non-stop service between Houston and Monterrey, Mexico, on October 23. The service will operate twice daily during the week, and once daily on weekends.
Monday through Friday flights will depart Monterrey International Airport at 6:30 a.m. and 6:05 p.m., and will arrive at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston at 7:55 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively. Return weekday flights will depart Houston at 8:55 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., and arrive in Monterrey at 10:20 a.m. and 9:55 p.m.
Saturday flights will depart Monterrey at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Houston at 9:25 a.m., while flights to Monterrey from Houston will depart at 10:25 a.m. and arrive at 11:50 a.m. On Sundays, the service will operate on the same schedule as the second daily weekday flights, departing Monterrey at 6:05 p.m. and arriving in Houston at 7:30 p.m., and departing Houston at 8:30 p.m. and arriving in Monterrey at 9:55 p.m.
Interjet was founded in 2005 and currently operates a fleet of 150-seat Airbus A320s and 93-seat Superjet 100s. The carrier serves a total of 47 Mexican and international destinations, including the U.S. cities of Houston, San Antonio, New York, Las Vegas, and Miami.
