The ninth floor executive lounge, open to executive floor guests or Hilton HHonors members with Diamond status, is located under a mosque-like dome with stained glass and dramatic back lighting.

A range of self-service breakfast, lunch, and snack items and beverages are available at varying times of the day. We enjoyed a breakfast overlooking the grounds and a mid-day break between meetings.

Our walk throughout the property revealed a wealth of diversions for health-minded guests. The health club is open 24 hours a day and features Precor exercise equipment. It also provides indoor and outdoor pools; the outdoor pool is immense and its shoe-like form is reputed to be Conrad Hilton’s footprint.

Also featured in the health club are a sauna and Turkish bath, massage rooms and a whirlpool. Guests can also use the tennis and squash courts and a five eighths-mile (one-kilometer) jogging track cut through the hotel’s gardens.

The restaurant choices at the Hilton Istanbul reflect Istanbul’s being a multi-national/multi-ethnic melting pot, with Lebanese and Chinese restaurants in addition to international and Turkish fare.

We enjoyed our lunch at the Bosphorus Terrace, a long restaurant that hugs the Bosphorus side of the property. The menu is extensive and breakfast and lunch both offer á la carte and buffet options. The service was prompt and professional.
