.) Paul Riegler takes an in-depth look at Apple’s new iPhone 6 and the new iOS 8 operating system. Find out about Wi-Fi calling, credit card scanning, monitoring battery usage, and most importantly, how to hide those embarrassing pictures that somehow made it onto your phone.
.) Jonathan Spira reviews United Airlines’ new p.s. service to the west coast. The 757 subfleet is outfitted with fully lie-flat seats in BusinessFirst and faster Wi-Fi.
.) Henry Feintuch heads to the Four Seasons in the high Sonora Desert. Located on the grounds of the historic Crescent Moon Ranch, the resort offers a relaxing atmosphere and is an ideal place to host a meeting or event.
.) Karin Sun takes us on a tour of Dallas, Texas, where everything, including the Texan greeting visitors at the county fair, is bigger.
.) Finally, we took the all-new 2015 Volkswagen Golf for a ride, focusing in on the fuel-sipping Golf TDI and the quiet and energy-efficient e-Golf electric vehicle.
Since it was a busy week, you might also wish to know that Marriott is encouraging guests to leave a note and tip for the housekeeping staff, Virgin Atlantic is installing in-flight Wi-Fi, and Etihad Airways has started to train its first class of in-flight butlers. Finally, American Airlines and its flight attendants union announced a tentative agreement.
