Ritz-Carlton Mobilizes Guest Experience at its Properties
Ritz-Carlton announced a significant upgrade to its guest services mobile app, the Ritz-Carlton App. The original app was introduced in 2012.
The enhanced app adds new features for guests to use during the course of their stay. This includes support for service requests such as poolside drink orders, room service, requests for towels or a forgotten toothbrush, a shoeshine, and setting up a time for turndown service, all using the guest’s smartphone.
Guests may also use the upgraded features to view their bills and charges, receive special offers, and access their Ritz-Carlton Rewards accounts. The app will continue to offer mobile check-in and check-out services.
On October 1, the company will also introduce a Travel Poster feature in the app that will allow guests to create retro-style travel posters using images of themselves to be shared using social media or saved onto a digital camera memory card.
The Ritz-Carlton App supports the Apple iOS and Android platforms, and is available to all Ritz-Carlton guests. However, only members of the Ritz-Carlton Rewards or Marriott Rewards guest loyalty programs have access to the enhanced services and features.
The new app are currently available for download in the Americas. Ritz-Carlton plans to introduce the upgraded version in other regions of the world within the next year, beginning with the Middle East in September.
