Park Hyatt New York Opens its Doors
Hyatt announced that its new flagship property, the Park Hyatt New York, opened on Monday.
The hotel is located within walking distance of Central Park and across the street from Carnegie Hall on West 57th Street. Park Hyatt New York occupies the first 25 floors of the 90-story One57 skyscraper designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc and located in midtown Manhattan.
It has a total of 210 guest rooms, each 475 square feet (44 square meters) in size, including 92 suites. Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows and has views of either the park or the New York skyline.
The hotel’s restaurant, the Back Room at One57, serves American cuisine from natural, local, and sustainable sources. Spa Nalai, on the 25th floor, has six treatment suites, a spa terrace, steam room, and a hot tub.
For meetings, the property has 8,000 square feet (735 square meters) of event space including a large ballroom, three breakout rooms, and a boardroom with a 1,050-square-foot (98-square-meter) outdoor terrace.
Earlier this month, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyatt acquired 100% of the property for $390 million.
