JetBlue Traffic, Capacity Up in July

JetBlue Airways announced operational results for July 2014. The airline’s traffic and capacity for the month both increased, as did its passenger load factor.
JetBlue’s passenger traffic for the month of July was 3.673 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 4.3% from 3.522 billion in July 2013. The airline’s capacity in July was 4.161 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, up 3.5% from 4.020 billion ASMs last year.
Meanwhile, load factor in July also increased by 0.7 percentage points to 88.3% from 87.6% in the same period last year.
The airline’s passenger revenue per available seat mile, or Prasm, increased by 1% year-over-year.
