American Express Centurion Lounge Opens at LaGuardia
New York LaGuardia Airport announced the opening of its new American Express Centurion Lounge in the airport’s Terminal B. The 5,000-square-foot (465-square-meter) lounge is open to Platinum and Centurion Card members at no charge, while other American Express cardholders can purchase a day pass for $50.
The lounge features locally inspired cuisine by New York chef Cedric Vongerichten, a selection of the city’s specialty cocktails and wine, and workspaces with high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access and power outlets, including a number of private, noise-buffering work stations. American Express Member Services professionals are also at hand to provide card- and travel-related services.
The opening of the new Centurion Lounge is part of LaGuardia’s longer-term plans to modernize the airport, which will also include the construction of a new Central Terminal Building.
The new facility is the third American Express Centurion Lounge to open in the United States, with lounges currently open at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Two more Centurion Lounges are scheduled to open at San Francisco International Airport and Miami International Airport in the future.
