One lucky Frequent Business Traveler reader was selected as the winner of our Master Frequent Business Traveler essay contest and was invited to the annual GlobeRunner Awards Ceremony in New York City.

The winner was Louis Marquez, a manager at New York-based Scoville Fasteners.

Mr. Marquez, who told us he travels multiple times a year within North America as well as to Europe and Asia, was, perhaps quite fittingly, unable to attend the GlobeRunner Awards presentation last Tuesday because he was on a business trip.

He was, however, acknowledged as the winner at the event and his essay was read to an appreciative audience:

“What makes me a Master Frequent Business Traveler is that I know how to make my own business travel seamless as possible. From being a higher elite member with an airline to having status with a car rental company, I take full advantage of the perks afforded to me. I can zoom through security, board first on a plane and pick up my car without ever having to speak to somebody. Time is money.”
