Qatar Airways began new daily, non-stop service from Doha to Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, with the first flight arriving at 3:24 p.m.

Qatar Flight 734 will leave Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport today at 8:00 p.m. and will arrive in Doha the following day at 6:20 p.m. local time.

The flights are operated using a Boeing 777-200LR (long range) aircraft, equipped with 42 fully lie-flat seats in business class and 217 economy seats.  The business-class cabin has seats arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration, and each seat is 22” wide and expands into a bed 78” long.

Qatar is a member of the oneworld alliance, and the carrier’s alliance partner, American Airlines, is headquartered in Dallas and has a major hub there, allowing for easy connections via American’s network.

The new service will also allow Dallas-area flyers easy connections to cities in the Indian subcontinent such as Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai.  Qatar is the second carrier from the Gulf to fly to Dallas.
