Star Alliance announced the opening of a new lounge in Terminal 3 of São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday.  The new 14,531-square-foot (1,350-square-meter) lounge is open to passengers who have first- or business-class tickets on same-day flights operated by any Star Alliance member airline, as well as those who hold Gold status in any Star Alliance member airline’s frequent flyer program.

The lounge has an interior design featuring native Brazilian materials, and a café area offering hot and cold refreshments, as well as a bar and two coffee stations.  The facility also has four fully equipped shower suites, televisions with international news and sports channels, a business center, and numerous power outlets and USB ports.

Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout the entirety of the lounge, as well as free Wi-Fi printing services.  The area is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., and can accommodate up to 295 people.

Nine Star Alliance member airlines operate at Guarulhos Airport’s Terminal 3, including Air Canada, Air China, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, South African Airways, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, TAP, and United Airlines.
