DSC_0441Hertz announced the opening of 17 new car rental outets across the United States, a move that the company says should increase customer access to its services in off-airport locations.

The 17 outlets are located throughout 12 states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia.  Each of the new outlets is an off-airport, neighborhood location, meant to address the needs of business and leisure travelers.

The new locations offer a wide selection of compact and full-sized cars and SUVs, special weekend rates, pickup and delivery service, and direct billing to insurance companies.  Rentals made at the new Hertz locations are also eligible to earn Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points as part of the company’s customer loyalty program.

Hertz currently operates more than 2,900 car rental locations in the United States.  In addition to the 17 new locations, the company has also opened 80 other neighborhood car rental spots throughout the country since January of this year.
