Hyatt announced it will open the Hyatt Regency Bloomington Central Station in Bloomington, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis, in early 2016. The property will be located in a development in the middle of Bloomington Central Station, a small urban village built around the city’s light rail station.

The new hotel will have 302 guestrooms, an indoor pool, fitness center, and business center. Several dining options, including a restaurant, bar, lounge, market, and coffee shop, will also be located on the premises. In addition, the property will have 17,000 square feet (1,579 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom.

The hotel will be connected by light rail to the business and entertainment districts in downtown Minneapolis.  The light rail also offers direct access to both terminals at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the Metrodome, and the Mall of America.

Hyatt currently operates over 550 hotels in 47 countries worldwide. The Hyatt Regency Bloomington Central Station will be the second Hyatt Regency brand property to open in Minnesota.
