Starwood announced it will open a new Aloft brand hotel, as well as a new Element hotel, in Boston in 2016. The two properties, called the Aloft Boston Waterfront and the Element Boston Waterfront, will be adjacent to one another in a dual hotel development on D Street, and will share a 120-space parking lot.

The Aloft Boston Waterfront will be 13 stories high, and will have 330 loft-like rooms, a pool, fitness center, and more than 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of meeting and event space. Guests can also experience live music events through the Live at Aloft Hotels program at the hotel’s signature W XYZ bar.

The eight-story Element Boston Waterfront will have 180 guestrooms, each with a fully equipped kitchen. The property will also include a pool, fitness center, and 1,000 square feet (93 square meters) of meeting space. Guests will also have access to complimentary amenities such as breakfast, evening cocktails, and bike rental.

The two hotels will be located across the street from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, and three miles from Boston’s Logan International Airport. The properties will be in close proximity to Boston’s financial district, as well as popular tourist attractions including the Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.

The Aloft Boston Waterfront and the Element Boston Waterfront will be Starwood’s second Aloft-Element dual development in the Boston area, following the Aloft Lexington and the Element Lexington, which opened in 2008.
