WestJet announced operational results for April 2014.

System traffic for April was 1.774 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 6.5% from 1.666 billion in April 2013.

Capacity also increased by 7.1% to 2.155 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 2.013 billion last year.

The Calgary-based airline reported a load factor of 82.3%, a drop of 0.4 percentage points from 82.7% in April 2013.
