Virgin America Sees Slight Drop in April Traffic

Virgin America announced operational results for April 2014.

The airline’s system traffic in April was 865 million revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year decrease of 0.4% from 868 million RPMs in April 2013.

Capacity for the airline was 1.029 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, a year-over-year decrease of 1.3% from 1.043 billion last year.

Virgin America’s load factor for the month increased by 0.7 percentage points year-over-year, to 84.1% from 83.3% in April 2013.
