Starwood Opens New Resort in United Arab Emirates

Starwood announced the opening of a new Luxury Collection hotel in Ajman, in the northern region of the United Arab Emirates. The Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, Ajman, is the fourth Luxury Collection brand property to open in the United Arab Emirates.

The new resort has 205 guestrooms and suites, including a presidential suite, which features a private terrace, living room, dining room, private study, and spa treatment room.

The hotel also houses five restaurants and lounges, including a venue serving traditional Middle Eastern cuisine, a seafood restaurant, an all-day dining establishment featuring Mediterranean dishes, and a beach bar and grill. Also located on the property are a spa, outdoor pool, and fitness center.

The resort also has nearly 10,760 square feet (1,000 square meters) of meeting and event space, including six conference rooms and a grand ballroom. In addition, the hotel is situated on its own private beach, and offers guests the opportunity to partake in water sport activities.

Starwood currently operates approximately 50 hotels and resorts in the Middle East, and the company plans to open 35 more properties in the region by 2017.
