Starwood announced the opening of a new Luxury Collection brand resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The new property, called La Posada de Santa Fe, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, is located on six acres in the city’s downtown area near the Santa Fe Plaza.

The hotel has 128 guestrooms and 30 suites, some of which are located in the resort’s historic Staab House mansion, which was built in 1882 and also houses a cocktail bar. The guestrooms are designed in the style of traditional adobe casitas, and each provides a patio, fireplace, and local artwork.

The property also hosts two restaurants, a spa featuring both contemporary and Native American-style treatments, and a curated collection of art from 40 American artists. The resort is located within walking distance of various retail outlets, dining venues, and art galleries in downtown Santa Fe.

Starwood currently operates 85 Luxury Collection brand hotels in more than 30 countries worldwide. The La Posada de Santa Fe is the first Luxury Collection resort to open in New Mexico.
