JetBlue Airways announced operational results for April 2014. The airline’s system traffic and capacity both increased for the month, as did its load factor and passenger revenue per available seat mile, or Prasm.

JetBlue’s traffic was 3.177 billion passenger revenue miles, or RPMs, up 6.1% from 2.995 billion in April 2013. The carrier’s capacity increased by 5.9%, up to 3.786 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 3.577 billion last year.

Passenger load factor for April was 83.9%, a year-over-year increase of 0.2 percentage points from 83.7% in the same period last year.

In addition, the airline’s Prasm, a key measure of an airline’s performance, increased by 11% year-over-year.
