Hertz announced changes and improvements at its Newark International Airport location that will make travel more convenient for those flying into the airport.  The renovations were designed by Jackman, a creative management consulting and activation company, and are focused on making car rental quicker and more convenient for travelers.

Changes and upgrades include an on-site retail option for food, drink, and sundries, technological support including an iPad station for booking reservations and accessing travel apps, and business tools such as printing and FedEx services. The car rental company is also introducing a “wall of cars”, which will serve as a showcase for the company’s fleet options.

All renovations were undertaken with sustainability in mind, with aspects such as LEED certification, selective trash collection, and the use of solar panels in keeping with the company’s commitment to global sustainable practices. Hertz offers a Green Traveler Collection, which features a variety of alternate fuel vehicles ranging from electric to diesel, and the company’s Living Journey sustainability program has produced up to 2.5 million kilowatt-hours of solar energy annually.

Hertz recently completed renovations at its Frankfurt Airport, San Diego, and Shanghai airport locations, as well as its Marble Arch location in metropolitan London and to its regional headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. The company plans to replicate the renovations at its top 50 airport locations around the U.S.
