Alaska Airlines to Launch New Flights From Seattle
Alaska Airlines announced it plans to add 27 new daily flights out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by next spring, including six by the end of this year. The additional flights will represent an 11% increase in daily departures for the airline from Seattle.
Beginning in June, Alaska will launch new daily service to New Orleans and Tampa from Seattle, followed by new service to Baltimore, Detroit, and Albuquerque in September. The carrier will then begin new service to Cancun, Mexico in November.
Alaska Airlines also plans to launch new daily service linking Seattle with Boise, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Fairbanks, Palm Springs, and Sacramento. In addition, the carrier will add two extra daily round-trip flights to its existing Seattle-Los Angeles service, as well as three additional daily round-trip flights to its Seattle-Portland service.
