Virgin America to Launch Additional Flight Between San Francisco, Austin

Virgin America announced it will add a second daily flight to its existing San Francisco, California-Austin, Texas, service beginning July 8.  The additional flight will operate through September 6, 2014.

Flights will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 9:20 a.m. and arrive at San Francisco International Airport at 11:05 a.m.  Flights from San Francisco to Austin will depart at 3:30 p.m. and arrive at 9:05 p.m.

The additional flight will operate using Airbus A320 aircraft, outfitted with either 146 or 149 seats, including eight in first class and 12 in main cabin select, the airline’s equivalent of premium economy.  Seats in first class are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 55”.

Virgin America first began service between the two cities in May 2013.
