JetBlue Airways announced operational results for March 2014. System traffic for the airline was 3.238 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 0.9% from 3.208 billion in March 2013.

The airline’s capacity in March was 3.819 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, an increase of 3.7% from 3.682 billion last year.

JetBlue’s load factor decreased by 2.3 percentage points to 84.8%, as compared to last year’s 87.1%.

Passenger revenue per available seat mile, or Prasm, for March showed a decrease of 8% year-over-year. The drop in Prasm is due largely to the Easter and Passover holidays, a period of heavy travel, falling in April this year instead of March as they did last year.
