American Airlines to Expand Miami-Martinique Service
American Airlines announced it will launch an additional weekly flight between Miami and Fort-de-France, the capital city of Martinique, from June 11 to August 13 of this year. The new flight will operate once a week, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flights will depart from Miami on Wednesdays at 11:20 a.m. and arrive in Fort-de-France at 2:50 p.m. From Fort-de-France, flights will depart at 3:30 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 7:00 p.m., also on Wednesdays.
The new flight will be in addition to the airline’s existing weekly non-stop service between the two cities, which operates on Saturdays.
American’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft have a total of 150 seats, including 16 in first class, 48 in Main Cabin Select, the airline’s premium economy section, and 86 in economy. First-class seats have a pitch of 40” and a width of 21”, while seats in Main Cabin Extra are 17.2” wide and have a pitch of 35”-37”.
American most recently offered a second flight between the two cities that operated on Saturdays from November 27, 2013 and March 26, 2014.
