Aloft Calgary University Opens in Western Canada

The Aloft Calgary University

Starwood announced the opening of the Aloft Calgary University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  The hotel is the first Aloft property to open in western Canada.

Each of the hotel’s 143 guestrooms has 42” LCD TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, and walk-in showers.  The property also has a spa, 24-hour gym, and indoor pool.

In addition, the brand’s signature W XYZ bar is located on the premises, which features live musical performances from local musicians.  The hotel also houses a grab-n-go restaurant, which is open 24 hours a day, as well as 4,000 square feet (371 square meters) of meeting and event space.

The Aloft Calgary University is located next to the University of Calgary campus, and is within walking distance of the city’s light rail line, which offers direct access to downtown Calgary.
