Aeromexico to Offer All-Dreamliner Service to London
Change Will Increase Capacity by 40%
Aeromexico announced plans to inaugurate all-Dreamliner service on flights to London’s Heathrow Airport beginning this week.
The move will increase the airline’s capacity on its Mexico City-London flights by 40%. Flights will operate out of Terminal 4 at Heathrow, which is dedicated to airlines that are members of the SkyTeam alliance.
Aeromexico’s Dreamliners have 32 fully lie-flat seats in Clase Premier, the airline’s business-class cabin. The seats are arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration and each has a width of 20“. Each business-class seat has a 16“ monitor for the in-flight entertainment system. The coach section has seats arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration, and the seat pitch at each seat is 34“.
The airline currently operates Boeing 767-200 aircraft on this route, equipped with 30 angled lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, each with a width of 17” and a seat pitch of 60”. The plane has 144 seats in economy in a 2-3-2 configuration, each with a width of 17.9” and pitched at 32”.
The airline first began using the Dreamliner on its Mexico City-Paris route last October. It recently began operating the 787 on its Mexico City-Madrid flights as well.
