United Airlines announced that its Mercedes-Benz tarmac service is now available at San Francisco International Airport. The chauffeur service offers some of the airline’s Global Services members, as well as United Global First passengers, who are connecting through San Francisco a ride to their gate.

Airline staff at the airport meet and drive eligible passengers across the tarmac to their connecting flights in Mercedes-Benz GL350 BlueTec SUVs. The service gives priority to passengers with tight connections, and is intended to make connecting flight transfers faster and easier for United’s top-tier customers.

The carrier already offers its tarmac transportation service in several other U.S. locations, including Chicago, Houston, and Newark.

In addition, United plans to partner with Mercedes-Benz to offer promotional packages and bonus points to Premier members of the airline’s MileagePlus program who purchase or lease Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
