Omni Hotels to Open New Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky

Omni Hotels announced it will open the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, no later than 2017.  The hotel will be part of a $261 million development, which will also include retail shops, apartments, and a parking garage.

The hotel will have 600 guestrooms and suites, as well as two full-service restaurants, a lobby lounge, and a rooftop café.  Also located within the hotel will be a spa, fitness center, and 70,000 square feet (6,503 square meters) of meeting and event space.

Along with the hotel, the new development will also house 200 upscale apartments, 44,000 square feet (4,087 square meters) of retail space including a full-service grocery store, and an 850-space parking garage.

Construction of the development is scheduled to begin next year, while completion of the project is expected no later than 2017
