InterContinental Hotels Group announced it will open a new hotel in Panama in February of next year.  The Crowne Plaza Panama Airport will be the company’s second Crowne Plaza property in the country.

The hotel will be part of the Global Business Terminal, a new 520,000-square-foot (48,309-square-meter) complex located next to Tocumen International Airport in Panama City.  Along with the hotel, the complex will be comprised of eight office towers, an exhibition hall, a conference center, and parking facilities.

The hotel itself will have 126 rooms, as well as 3,000 square feet (278 square meters) of meeting and event space.  The property will also have a business center, an outdoor pool, a restaurant, bar, and two retail shops.

InterContinental Hotels Group currently operates five properties in Panama.
