JetBlue Airways announced an agreement with Thales Group to sell LiveTV, its in-flight entertainment provider, for $400 million.

LiveTV currently services more than 700 aircraft. Customers include AirTran, Alitalia, Azul, Frontier, JetBlue, Virgin Blue, and WestJet.

After the transaction closes, JetBlue and LiveTV will enter into agreements for LiveTV to continue providing support for Fly-Fi, JetBlue’s in-flight Wi-Fi service.

The companies expect to finalize the sale, subject to regulatory approval, in mid-2014.
