Delta to Launch Service from Los Angeles to Austin, Boise, San Salvador
Delta Air Lines announced it will commence new daily, nonstop service between Los Angeles and Austin, Texas; Boise, Idaho; and San Salvador, El Salvador, later this year. The new Austin-Los Angeles service will operate twice daily beginning June 16, while flights to Boise and San Salvador will operate once daily beginning June 5 and July 2, respectively.
Flights between Austin and Los Angeles will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and arrive at Los Angeles International Airport at 8:25 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. From Los Angeles, flights will depart at 9:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 2:40 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Flights from Boise will depart Boise Airport at 6:15 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 7:15 a.m. Flights from Los Angeles to Boise will depart at 7:30 p.m. and arrive at 10:35 p.m.
From San Salvador, flights will depart El Salvador International Airport at 7:20 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 11:35 a.m., while flights from Los Angeles to San Salvadore will depart at 12:10 a.m. and arrive at 6:10 a.m.
The Boise-Los Angeles service will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Compass Airlines, using CRJ-900 aircraft, capable of seating a total of 76 passengers in two classes. The Austin- and San Salvador-Los Angeles flights will operate using Boeing 717 and Boeing 737 aircraft, respectively.
Delta Airlines currently operates 130 flights to 43 destinations from Los Angeles. In addition, the airline has filed for approval to begin new service between Los Angeles and Monterey, Mexico.
